Been doing alot of thinking lately...where to spend my time and energy being the at the top:) How to talk to my kids better, discipline better, be ALL here. I have a ton to learn, but I think I'm doing a few things well. My kids know I have their back, love them, like them most of the time and care about them. I do not want to be their BFF or really care why they are talking back. Thatcher is super smart and witty...I chatted with him for 15 min. last night just the 2 of us and I wish I could've recorded it. His heart is tender towards God and he notices others. I'm attempting to teach him how to lead well & how to handle influence.
Brody is a busy kid...usually discussing buying something or earning money. He is convinced a DS will give him a better life. So the discussions ensue, but it's cool that he has goals. He made a stop sign and had me stop/go to the mailbox yesterday..it was cute and fun.
Ella is funny. She loves shiny, glittery things and I do too:) She loves her nail being painted too. We walked hand in hand to get the mail and she is quite capable of so much. She is a helper and still likes to cuddle...lucky me:)
Barrett is a hot mess sometimes and a chill kid the other...not much in between, but that's ok. He wants his way and knows how to tell you something w/o talking. It'll come and it does at times, but in the meantime his cute and helps, so I know he understands me.
Kevin is amazing. He helps me all the time by doing...without being asked. He cleans the kitchen, bathes the kids and just listens to me. He's not a big talker, but we had a cool convo a few nights ago for an hour...made my week. He's wise and smart and I'm soo thankful that God gave him to me for now. I've realized I may not have the people i have in my life for forever, so I need to ask ?'s, learn what God has taught them and become more like Him. I have FAR to go:))
Peace out....em
