Family Christmas '13

So we celebrated in our home this year.  So thankful we get to do that!

We make them wait on the steps until we are ready and here they came!!

A few fun stocking stuffers thanks to World Market and Dollar Tree!!

Kids got three gifts each.  We started that last year which really makes me focus on who they are and what they would really enjoy!  The stockings give me a little lee-way if I miss something:)

We read the story of Jesus' Birth from the Jesus Storybook Bible, which is outstanding!!  

So simple and easy to get....I love it.

Brody may have cried a bit...which you'll get when you read the Christmas Eve blog.

He was comparing Ella's gift to his current gifts.  How much we spent.   How it wasn't even.

I have been spending my words talking to him about how he needs to trust me...

I always take care of him.  Kind of like how God speaks to him...or will.

Always teaching. Always listening...or trying:)  Always loving.

So thankful to get to be a  mom and to have a great hubby by my side.

Cookies & Christmas Eve '13

For our 2013 Christmas Eve, we enjoyed a fab service at FBC McKinney first!!  

We ate Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup and leftovers...exciting!!

The kids opened one gift which was great until Brody was missing a piece to his game.

Every year he cries.  Every. year. 

So my goal is to make sure he is happy, for this moment, if I can:)

He settled when we told him he could make an exchange.  

I did wonder how many other kids were missing a pawn in their chess game.

So thankful for sweet baby Jesus who was born to us to give us Hope.

The best kind of Hope.  Forever, regardless of what I've done/did/will do HOPE:)

Tree Trimming R Us:)

We had a major ice storm.  Major.

So the fallout is alot of tree branches and whatnot.
